IT Infrastructure Solutions and Support Analyst

The IT Infrastructure Solutions and Support Analyst work in collaboration with the team to maintain, support and optimize the bank’s IT infrastructure whilst ensuring security, availability and reliability of the critical infrastructure.

Main responsibilities

  1. Assist the IT infrastructure team to ensure smooth operation and support of all banking applications
  2. Assist in the configuration, management, and support of banking-specific infrastructure components, such as core banking systems, transaction processing systems, and secure communication channels
  3. Support virtualization environments, data centres, and cloud services in line with the bank’s technology strategy
  4. Assist in the implementation of new technologies and infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the bank's security, compliance, and operational standards
  5. Ensure all IT infrastructure adheres to banking regulations
  6. Manage and coordinate 24/7 support to ensure operational availability of critical infrastructure services
  7. Ensure incidents and problems are resolved efficiently, fully documented, and escalate as necessary
  8. Adhere to governance, security, and operational best practices.
  9. Ensure compliance to IT Infrastructure daily health checks and reporting
  10. Put governance processes and controls in place and ensure compliance
  11. Assist in the preparation of Budgets
  12. Continually seeks opportunities to reduce operational costs and track productivity initiatives via component consolidations, contract negotiations.
  13. Ensure timely return of Bank of Mauritius reporting
  14. Perform any other related duties, as may be assigned.

  5. Strong knowledge of banking-specific IT systems, including core banking platforms, ATMs, payment gateways, and SWIFT networks
  6. Familiarity with IT systems life cycle management, from design through to implementation and management
  7. Knowledge of financial processes, including budget planning, expenditure forecasting and reporting
  8. Strong Planning, Negotiation and Communication skills
  9. Leading and Supervising

Experience & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  2. Industry specific professional qualifications
  3. 2+ years of relevant experience in the banking industry
